Debunking the commonly held interpretation of the word “abomination”, his erudite and eloquent participants (including Archbishop Tutu) decry “bible literalists” who cite scripture for political gain. Most touching is a mother whose daughter committed suicide after being disowned for her sexual preference. The film’s message is simple; love one another despite our differences. It’s wonderful to see how most of these parents move from fear, confusion and (sometimes) bigotry, to understanding and acceptance.
